Kaspersky or Avira premium consistently come out on top in unbiased antivirus comparatives.
With that said, the most important part of the equation in keeping your computer malware free is YOU. Security software won’t come through the monitor and slap you if you indulge in unsafe computing practices.

You need to download Malwarebytes and SuperantiSpyware both are free and very effective, once downloaded install and update both then run quick scans with each, remove anything they find and restart.
Finally install Avast Anti-Virus which is free and run a boot-time scan, it will remove viruses before they have a chance to start and thoroughly disinfect your computer.
You could download the 3 programs below from the computer you are on and take them to your computer then install them that way.
Keep Avast Anti-Virus installed to prevent you getting another virus in the future.

In my opinion, Kaspersky is one of the better anti-virus applications.
You can get the free trial version of this security tool at the following link:
http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
You should also ensure your antispyware application is up to date and fully operational.
Check out Spyhunter here:

I use Avast , I have also got superantispyware and Malwarebytes. I recently changed to Comodo firewall which seems fine and I seem to boot up quicker. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Three sites you can use safely.

You can use SpywareNoMore.
As we all know Computer hackers seeking financial gain rather than thrills or notoriety are increasingly flooding the Internet with malicious software code (spyware, adware, key loggers, trojans). They are infecting computers with highly sophisticated programs that record surfing habits, bank passwords and other key financial data and send them to crooks over the Internet. These programs can be hard to spot, disguised in downloads such as toolbars, search engines, browser accessories, screen savers and other seemingly helpful utilities.
SpyNoMore anti-spyware safeguards your identity and restores system performance through fast, smart and powerful spyware protection.
