How do i disable scanning attachments in anti virus software?
in another question i said about having a problem opening attachments in my email, someone answered saying to try disabling scanning attachments in anti virus software but im not sure how to do this?
can anyone help me thanx
It depends on your anti-virus software, but unless you’re getting a message that there’s a virus in the attachment, that’s not causing your problem.
I just read your other question. Assuming that sending it to your AOL account is causing the problem, just get help on AOL – they know exactly what every AOL error message means and exactly how to fix it.

it would be on the interface of the program..the box that you go to interact with the program..to start scans check for threats picked up or scheduling scans..look for a settings feature or preferences..but I would dig a little deeper of what it might be because I have never had that problem…as most emails sent have their own built in antivirus scanners meaning ..most emails will be scanned I mean attachments of course..maybe if you have a firewall..not the one that comes with the pc..an outside vendor..if you need to ..go to another computer besides the one you’re talking about and try it there if they get it and theres no problem ..then it’s your pc..if they have the same problem..then it might be the format in which they sent the email..
